This is the default Chart. It is a good place to start if you seek to sample how Technacy Genres become more demanding in design and innovation capabilities and in project expectations. Phases of Technacy Expectations and Complexity.

TECHNACY COMPLEXITY EXPECTATIONS are arranged in three broad PHASES (columns) to guide the Educator. They describe increasing exposure to contextual and systemic complexity of technological application.

Emergent Phase

The EMERGENT phase of technacy development presents an early, developing or novice level of simple and tangible technology project activity. The learner encounters an aspect of at least one essential Technology Type or context of application that is novel to them.

Competent Phase

The COMPETENT phase of technacy development is identified by contextually relevant codified skills and knowledge.

Sophisticated Phase

The SOPHISTICATED phase of technacy development is identified by "the project's" high degree of complexity, high risk/high return scenario and/or expecting success at an extreme scale of application.

Emergent Pioneer

Upper

The EMERGENT PIONEER is an 'enthusiastic beginner'. Identified by the lack of competence to apply in real time, any aspect of their ideas in a way that 'works' in an applied context for the purpose given.

The SKILLS domain (Consolidated Capabilities) of innovation describes the most common level of capability development by most people. This includes level of innovation attribute and prowess expectations in technacy development.
